BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS
1. I will listen carefully and quietly.
2. I will follow directions.
3. I will be respectful of others with my words and actions.
4. I will work and play safely.
5. I will do my best!
REWARDS INDIVIDUAL: A compliment, a thank you, a hug, etc… A gold card—their name goes into a basket for a drawing at the end of the week.
CLASS: They will earn a jungle animal—once the class has earned 10 animals, they will vote for a celebration like extra recess, time in the gym, a kickball game, video and popcorn party, cooking time, etc…
CONSEQUENCES
Each student begins each day with 4 tickets on their desk. If they are not following the behavioral expectations, they will be given a verbal warning. If that behavior continues, I will ask them for a ticket.
1 ticket lost = 5 minutes of recess or special privileges lost
2 tickets lost= 10 minutes of recess or special privileges lost
3 tickets lost = writing a note or calling parents to explain behavior(s)
4 tickets lost= a visit to Sr. Pat and/or conference with parents, Sr. Pat and Mrs. Mueller.
Other consequences may include, if necessary, apologizing verbally or on paper, moving self or desk away from group or moving desk next to Mrs. Mueller’s desk for a few days until student exhibits appropriate classroom behavior.
**Remember: Everyone begins each day with all 4 tickets so they will always have a fresh start. If their desk is moved, it is because of continued inappropriate behavior and they will have to earn their way back into the rows or desk grouping.
